Charlotte Cecile Cheong (23) is a Singaporean creative living in Perth, Western Australia. She initially moved to pursue her degree in Conservation Wildlife, and later fell in love with the connection to the flora and fauna found living there.
Whilst still at university, she launched an ethically and sustainably handmade swimwear brand, Cecile Swim. She uses this platform to educate on the importance of understanding the impact fashion has on the environment and inspiring women to cultivate a healthy relationship with themselves and their bodies.
Soon after, she found her father's old film camera and created Cecile Creative to showcase her work on fashion and portrait photography. Her work is widely driven by her passion for our Earth and empowering women on a journey of self-love. She enjoys using photography to share stories and experiences of the women she meets through her work, capturing intimate and moments of self-discovery. She spends her free time venturing along the coast and in the bush, often finding unique locations that inspire her work.
"Un avec la nature", meaning one with nature is a series of photos depicting the female form and its connection to nature, with an expression of self-love. The intention of this series is to spark curiosity and appreciation towards our experiences with ourselves and the environment around us.
This series has been inspired by movements and the physical connection we have with the environment in which we are in. Grateful for living in such a beautiful area of the world, it was only right to incorporate it and share it in this series.
This series was an opportunity to explore and push the boundaries of the types of photography that I'm used to.
The inspiration behind the names comes from feelings felt whilst capturing each shot. Some have been named in French as I've spent much of this year learning the language.
I hope this series brings joy into your space, reminding us about the connection our body and our Earth.

This series comes in 2 size options (larger Poster size and smaller A3 size) as well as 2 frame options - modern and minimalist black and white frame style for versatility to complement all interior.
The photos are also printed on 230gsm Artist Matte Fine Art Paper (ISO 9706).
